Why Recycle? 80% of all new ink cartridges end up in landfill. Once there it takes an estimated 1000 years for these ink cartridges to biodegrade.
It takes 6 pints of oil to make just 1 ink cartridge but just one year of recycling European ink cartridges could save 11 MILLION gallons of oil.
Remanufacturing instead of producing new ink cartridges reduces oil demand by 300,000 barrels, saves 17,000 tons of aluminium and 10,000,000 tons of timber.
